Data and methodology

A calculator is only useful when you can tell what data it uses and where its assumptions stop.

Current data source

The production data bundle is generated from the open-source PalCalc database, licensed under MIT. This build currently reports database version v26, with 299 Pals and 44,851 breeding rows.

How updates work

The repository keeps the source database and a repeatable build script. During each site build, internal Pal names are converted to compact numeric indexes while names, Paldeck numbers, variants, child outcomes, and gender requirements are retained.
